Center for Creative Youth

Collaborating with Wesleyan’s renowned Center for the Arts since 1977, the CCY/Wesleyan partnership attracts world-class Guest Artists for our students and the community. Students come from all over America and abroad. CCY provides advanced classes in Visual Arts, Dance, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, Theater, Musical Theater, Technical Theater, Photography, Filmmaking, and Creative Writing, taught by professional Artist/Instructors. Acceptances are based upon written applications, auditions, interviews and recommendation letters. Leadership Training plus performances, lectures, workshops and exhibits are scheduled several times each week.

Center for Creative Youth (CCY) is a program of the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC). CCY offers a 5-week, pre-college intensive summer residential arts program for 150 artistically talented high school students on the campus at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
