	Educational Forums

Our work in designing and hosting programs for families with intellectually talented children is an outgrowth of meeting with parents of highly capable students at various conferences for the gifted throughout the years. Through these conversations we realized that families around the country would benefit from receiving information from other programs that could address their educational needs.

Our free Forums are structured like educational seminars: they provide a venue where parents and students are exposed to and explore pertinent concepts of the educational process by presenters who deal directly with these issues every day. They also offer students (and parents) a chance to be engaged with kindred spirits in small interactive sessions. And through these discussions and sessions, one can gain considerable food for thought from people with significant expertise in their fields.

Faculty members from a highly selective arts academy have discussed how arts and academics can be integrated to provide students with a fuller intellectual awareness. From schools that are directly connected to universities and whose students have full access to university courses, presenters have talked about the emotional and social challenges that a student might face in such an environment.
