can look back to 1796 to mark its beginnings as a coeducational
boarding school in NY’s Hudson River Valley. Over two hundred years
later, the School still holds to the principles that helped forge

What other activities and/or duties do you have at your school
other than teaching?
Advisor for 10th grade, Art Department Chair

What has been one of your most memorable teaching experiences at
the school?
Seeing students with no prior experience shine on stage.

Describe one of your most interesting personal experiences at
the school?
Hiking for 3 days in the rain with a very wet but very motivated group of seniors - watching them help one another.

If you were able to teach any subject you want, what would that
be and why?
The area that I teach currently.

What do you feel is your school’s most positive asset?
The inclusive, supportive, accepting environment.

What advice would you give a new student at your school?
Try everything! There are so many wonderful offerings - dive in!

If you weren’t teaching, what would you like to be doing?
Writing.
